Cosmos Hims & Hers Pairs Competition Flyer

Super Series Final No.2

Monty Tuhua was in great form as he took out the second final on Friday Night.
The night started badly for him losing his first life game 6-0 to an impressive Troy Henderson.
As champions can do, Monty re focussed on the 2nd life and played some outstanding darts, defeating Blair Hutchison, Nathan Holt, Dion Toki and Mike Day before playing Tukina Weko in the final game of the night.

As we head into the final week on Friday night the top 4 are Monty Tuhua, Tukina Weko. RTW and Dion Toki.

In the Super Series Plate, Issac Lewis took out both lives opening up the plate series with a number of players still able to win this series.

In the 1st life Issac defeated Sonia Lewis and he defeated Gary Whyte in the final of the second life.

Mike Day to play in BDO World Championship !

Congratulations and well done Mike Day! Mike has been nominated to represent New Zealand at the BDO World Champs at the Lakeside in England on the 4-12th of January 2014. More details can be found on the NZDC website here.
West City Club Captain Mike is over the moon with his nomination and said its "a dream come true". Mike has been a dedicated NZDC player over many years and has performed at the highest level in NZ for several of those years. He fully deserves this opportunity to have a crack at some of the world's best and I'm sure all dart players at West City as well as the rest of New Zealand will be cheering him on come January.

SUPER SERIES - TOP16 FINALS 1

MONTE TUHUA DOMINATES TOP 16 FINALS 1...
Monte Tuhua was supreme in the Super Series Top16 Finals 1 winning both knockout rounds of the two life system and so not requiring a final. The finals were played over the best of 11 leg games. Monte defeated Tukinoa "Tuks" Weko in the first life final and then Richard "RTW" TeWhero in the second life final to complete a dominating performance.
There were some 'no shows' for the first round of the finals due to other commitments but hopefully all will be on deck for the 2nd round of the Top16 Finals.

SUPER SERIES - PLATE FINALS 1

PLATE FINALS ROUND 1 TAKEN OUT BY GEOFF KOSTER...

A sleepy Geoff Koster took out the Plate section of the Super Series Finals Round 1 beating Gary Whyte in a 1am finish. The best of 7 legs knockout games certainly tested the staying power of the players with unlucky Dave Curreen making the penultimate games of the the two life system loosing to first Gary and then Geoff to miss out on the final. Special mention to youth player Aimee Holt who hit her first 180, well done Aimee !

IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN FRIDAY BUT IT WAS REALLY MIKEDAY !

The turnout for Round 6 was well down on previous rounds, possibly with a lot of the top players believing they have already qualified for the Top 16 Playoffs, which will commence after Qualifying Round 7 has been completed. 12 players qualified for the knockout stages with a few on the fringe still harbouring hopes of getting in the top 16. Mike Day ran out the winner of the round in a close final with Deon Toki.

Mike Day fires in a dart as Deon Toki looks on
Other highlights were a 170 finish by Deon Toki and excellent perfomances by youth players Stacey Heavey and Nathan Holt to make the semi-finals
